Congratulations on your upcoming pool refinish! Whether you're replacing cracked plaster, swapping out some broken tiles, or just want a fresh summer pool makeover — we're confident in our ability to get you excited about your pool again!

Still deciding what look to go for? Drop by our office at 2133 East 69th Street in Tulsa for the in-person glance at our brand new showroom! Looking for that perfect elegant tiling? All of our tile comes from Crossville Studios and National Pool Tile; take a look at their options and allow us to place an order on your behalf, keeping all your refinishing information in one place.

In this article, we'll run you through our standard pool remodel practices so you know just what to expect going in to things. If you prefer to talk it through with our staff, give us a call! We're always happy to walk you through our process either over the phone or in person.

Before Refinishing

  • Any additional work such as plumbing, decking, or any repairs should be completed prior to plaster or tile

  • Our team will drain the pool to prevent any damage caused by change in pressure; please do not drain it yourself without first checking in with a technician!

  • Technician will chip out the old plaster or tile and prepare the surface for new material

Prior to your visit, please:

  • Do not turn on your pool lights

  • Ensure all pets are secured safely inside or away from the pool area

  • Clear the pool area of any moveable objects like furniture, potted plants, etc.

  • Close windows to minimize dust and noise in your home

During Construction

While our technicians are on site, please continue to keep animals inside and do not enter the pool area. Additionally, please do not contract any additional labor or construction in the pool area for the duration of your project. Any failure to adhere to these requests may void your warranty, or even cause your job to be suspended. Always refer to your signed contract and disclaimers for any job-specific requirements so we can keep both you and our technicians as safe as possible!

After Construction

  • Please do not refill your pool or start up any equipment without first checking in with a technician. Tile must settle for several days after placement, after which the technician will often return to the site to do a final clean and refill the pool.

  • While the pool is refilling, do not turn off the water until it has reached the middle of the water line tile or when your surface skimmer is half full. Turning off the water early may result in a stained ring around the interior edge of the pool. Do not wash down or spray the sides while filling the pool.

  • Do not enter the pool until after post-plaster care is completed, if applicable.

  • After replastering, there will likely be dust at the bottom of the pool. Please follow the post-plaster care regimen, brushing regularly and running the filter until the water has cleared. Check your pressure regularly and backwash as needed.

Post-Plaster Care

Though we provide a standardized post-plaster care plan here, please always refer to instructions from your technician and our team! Every pool is different and we want to ensure your pool gets the best possible care. If you have any questions about your particular situation, please reach out to us.
